Depending on the subject matter and the time of year, I handbuild, slip cast or use the wheel to express new ideas and themes that connect to my life. Typically, I experiment with color and texture to emphasize a form. Each piece I create is original. Small Groups
I offer private and small group lessons out of my studio that focus on hand- building or the pottery wheel. Classes can be customized to align with individual schedules and the lessons can reflect your personal goals. No experience needed! Kids under 14 need to be accompanied by an adult.
Off-Site
If you’re looking for a guest artist or a part-time art teacher, let’s chat! I hold a California Teaching Credential and spent nearly 20 years in the classroom as a studio art educator. I’m also passionate about working in the community to connect people to creative expression and each other. I’ve organized multi-faceted and thematic art endeavors with schools, community centers and families.
Large Groups
The studio can comfortably seat up to 30 participants for fun ceramic experiences. Parties, Corporate Team Building and Private Events are our specialty. About Me
Ceramics has been a passion of mine since I was a teenager, and continues to drive me to be my best self and to take risks. Currently, I’m co-founder of Spark Ceramics and work as an independent ceramic artist and consultant in San Francisco. As an educator, I enjoy leading team building workshops as well as teaching small groups and one-on-one ceramic classes.
